New Jewellery Workshop to Open on Lord Street in Southport

A brand-new jewellery workshop is set to open on Lord Street, bringing a fresh retail concept to the heart of the town centre.

The family-run business, backed by many years of industry experience, will launch at 321 Lord Street in the unit previously occupied by Lapel Menswear, which has relocated to Wayfarers Arcade. B

Building work is already underway, with the transformation being carried out by Nicholas Interiors Ltd.

One-Hour Jewellery and Watch Repairs

The new venture will specialise in on-site jewellery repairs and watch services, with most jobs completed within one hour.

Customers will be able to have jewellery repaired quickly and efficiently by a team of skilled craftspeople, avoiding the usual wait of several days while items are sent away.

The owners said:

“We are very excited to be bringing a brand new concept to the heart of Lord Street.

“With most jewellery repairs, people have to wait three days or more until they get their jewellery back.

“Often the pieces are sent away somewhere else to be done.

“We want to offer a fast, efficient service on-site within just one hour by our skilled team.”

Watch services will include battery replacements, strap fittings, link adjustments and full servicing, including luxury Swiss brands such as Audemars Piguet, Omega, TAG Heuer, Breitling and Cartier.

Bespoke Jewellery and CAD Design

In addition to repairs, the workshop will offer a full CAD design service and bespoke jewellery creation.

The team specialises in melting customers’ existing gold to create meaningful new pieces, including wedding and engagement rings.

The owners added:

“If you have some old jewellery and you’d like to create something new, special and meaningful from it, then we can work closely with you to do that.”

The business plans to open seven days a week and has a provisional launch date of mid-April, shortly after Easter.

Further details, including the official name and confirmed opening date, will be announced in the coming weeks.
