Astraea Linskills celebrates ten years of growth, success and international expansion

October 2026 marks a significant milestone for Astraea Linskills as the award-winning independent law firm celebrates ten years since Astraea Legal was founded by Liverpool solicitor Nama Zarroug.

What began in 2016 has evolved into a respected legal practice with operations in Liverpool, London and Dubai, the team of 30 combine specialist expertise with almost five decades of legal heritage.

Headquartered on Castle Street in the heart of Liverpool’s commercial district, the firm has expanded its team, diversified its services and established a reputation for handling complex legal matters for individuals, families and businesses.

A defining moment came in 2020 when Astraea Legal acquired Linskills, an established Liverpool criminal law practice dating back to 1978. The acquisition brought together Astraea’s modern, ambitious approach with Linskills’ longstanding reputation and experience, providing a strong foundation for the firm’s development.

Under the leadership of founding director Nama Zarroug and director Sara Perischine, Astraea Linskills has developed expertise across family and matrimonial law, criminal defence, regulatory matters, wills and probate, commercial property, media and reputation management and electoral law.

Its electoral law practice has received national recognition from The Legal 500, while closer to home, Astraea Linskills was named Law Firm of the Year at the Liverpool Law Society Legal Awards in 2022.

That same year, continued expansion prompted a move to larger headquarters on Castle Street, with the establishment of operations in London and Dubai further extending the firm’s reach.

Founding Director Nama Zarroug said:

As Astraea Linskills enters its second decade, plans include further investment in its people, strengthening its specialist practice areas and developing its client base across the UK and internationally.
